    Intended use

    Intended for use in the in vitro quantification of pH, partial pressure of oxygen (PO2) and partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PCO2) in arterial, venous or capillary whole blood in point-of-care or clinical laboratory settings. Used in the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of respiratory, metabolic and acid-base disturbances.


    Frequently Asked Questions

    The G3+ is a dedicated blood gas-only cartridge. It does not include electrolytes, chemistries, or hematology parameters. If you need blood gases combined with electrolytes, consider the EG6+, EG7+, CG4+, or CG8+ cartridges.

    Yes. The G3+ accepts arterial, venous, and capillary whole blood samples. The 95 uL sample volume can be obtained via capillary draw, making it suitable for neonatal and pediatric applications.

    pH, PCO2, and PO2 are directly measured by sensors in the cartridge. TCO2, HCO3, base excess (BE), and sO2 are calculated from the measured values using standard equations.
