Siemens ADVIA Centaur XP
The Siemens ADVIA Centaur XP is an automated immunoassay analyzer designed to perform a variety of diagnostic tests in clinical laboratories. It is widely used for detecting biomarkers related to infectious diseases, oncology, cardiovascular conditions, and other health-related issues.
Principle of Operation
The ADVIA Centaur XP system operates using chemiluminescent immunoassay (CLIA) technology, which utilizes a chemical reaction that produces light in the presence of an analyte. The light emission is directly proportional to the concentration of the analyte in the sample, providing a quantitative result.
1. Sample Introduction: The patient sample (e.g., blood or serum) is loaded onto the system.
2. Antigen-Antibody Reaction: Specific antibodies or antigens labeled with a chemiluminescent marker are introduced to the sample. The target analyte (antigen or antibody) binds to the corresponding labeled molecule.
3. Signal Detection: Once the antigen-antibody complex forms, a chemiluminescent reaction occurs. The emitted light is measured by a photomultiplier tube.
4. Data Interpretation: The system analyzes the light intensity, and a software algorithm calculates the concentration of the target analyte, providing results in a quantitative format.
Features:
This system offers the below features:
- High throughput, up to 240 tests/hour
- Intuitive software for ease of operation
- STAT port guarantees priority sampling at any time
- Data archive reduces administrative tasks
- Extensive menu with 30 onboard reagents
- Increase productivity by connecting to Siemens
Refurbished Siemens ADVIA Centaur XP
There’s a misconception that refurbished is a synonym for risk. The better comparison is value.
Refurbished immunoassay analyzers are returned to OEM specs. That means it’s as good as a unit right off the assembly line. But you don't get stuck with the markup the original manufacturer adds to the price.
If you ever do need repairs outside the warranty, our service team can be on-site quickly to get it back up and running - anywhere in the USA.
We have Siemens ADVIA XP immunoassay analyzers in stock right now. So you can get yours fast by adding it to your cart and purchasing today. If you want a quote that includes special pricing on your reagents for the year, contact us with your expected testing volume and we'll tell you the exact cost.
Compare it against your cost last year and see if you come out ahead (our guess is it'll be 10-15% better for your lab with us).
It’s the responsible thing to do.
Industry-standard automation at an entry-level price point
A refurbished ADVIA Centaur XP gives labs doing work in endocrinology, oncology, cardiovascular, fertility, and others access to features that make work easier for operators at a value-oriented price point several thousand dollars lower than newer industry-standard models.
Your lab gets standard workflow-improving features that aren't otherwise available at this price point.
- No time-wasting daily startup routine
- Automatic dilution, repeat, and reflex testing
- Automatic repeats and confirmation for reactive testing
- Ergonomics (at this price point, most new units are designed without any consideration for operator comfort).

Support your primary analyzer at a cost your budget can handle
Your lab wants to increase your daily test volume for some of your most common and profitable tests (Vitamin D tests for many ADVIA Centaur XP operators). Instead of buying a new unit at an astronomical price to increase your throughput, you can support your existing analyzer with a high throughput refurbished Siemens ADVIA Centaur XP for much better value.
Your expanded services are immediately viable when you choose a refurbished Siemens ADVIA Centaur XP with :
High throughput - High-throughput-standard at 240 tests / hour
- Familiarity - If you ever used any model of Siemens chemistry or immunoassay analyzer, you're familiar with the interface. There's no operator learning curve.
- Priority Sampling - Economically add to your STAT capacity
- Data logging - Economically add to your STAT capacity
- Compatibility - ADVIA Centaur XP is one of the earliest analyzers that work with software that's standard in your lab, like VersaCell, ADVIA Automation, and StreamLAB
One of the best backup immunoassay analyzers available
The first iteration of the ADVIA Centaur series was released almost 20 years ago. And refurbished instruments supporting labs today still get excellent reviews:
- “Great reliable results, fast. We get a great selection of assays on this analyzer and we can handle any overflow testing from the main lab. Great workhorse. The refurbished unit runs like new. Easy to use and very cost-effective with minimal maintenance needs." - John B. Oncology Lab Manager.
- "It's immensely useful in our medium-large laboratory with high-throughput. I recommend a refurbished machine without any reservations, to any laboratory, which has a need for conventional markers." - Faisal M. Head of Cardiovascular.
Reagents can be used with other ADVIA Centaur models. And you can save 15% on your cost
Save 10% to 15% over your regular supplier when you order your reagents from us.
Other suppliers use tiered pricing to give the biggest buyers the biggest discount. But your purchasing volume doesn't matter to us, so we don’t do that.
Instead, every customer and labs of every size get the same deal. It’s pricing 9 out of 10 labs couldn’t qualify for anywhere else.

Reduce your annual cost on calibrators by 15%
Contact us with your annual testing volume and get a quote breaking down exactly how much you can save by switching your calibrators to us.
Compare it side-by-side with your budget breakdown from last year and see if the savings are as good as we say (for most of our customers it counts in the tens of thousands of $).
Keep your expenses predictable for the year
Financing options are available for every Siemens ADVIA Centaur purchase, so your laboratory can be more prudent with expenses.
Spread out the cost of your new immunoassay analyzer so your expanded services are immediately viable.
Avoid the large hit to your budget so expenses over the next year are more predictable.
