Medica Corp Announces Extended Capability of EasyRA Analyzer

Medica

Drugs of abuse urine screening tests indicate if one or more prescription or illegal drugs are present in urine. Medica Corporation, a leading manufacturer of easy-to-use, low-cost in vitro diagnostic analyzers recently announced the expanded capability of its EasyRA® clinical chemistry analyzer. This fully automated clinical chemistry analyzer now offers both drugs of abuse urine screening (DAU) and chemistry panels in a benchtop system. This combination will uniquely help EasyRA users to provide faster and more cost-effective analysis than before. Patients as well as providers will benefit from accurate and cost-effective results when providing pain management treatment, and for applications requiring drugs of abuse screening.

"The decision to expand the EasyRA's capabilities into DAU was driven by the call of laboratory and healthcare professionals for a moderately complex, benchtop clinical chemistry analyzer that can also provide urine drug screening. With today's announcement, we are continuing to fulfill our commitment to deliver the latest product updates in one convenient installation," says Robert Hagopian, President and CEO, Medica Corporation.

This benchtop analyzer will offer a panel of drugs of abuse with simply interpreted positive or negative results, to eliminate the need for subjective interpretation in the moderately-complex setting. With 150 tests per hour (>300 with integrated ISE), 24 sample positions, 24 reagents on board, and more, EasyRA is the easy choice for your laboratory's clinical chemistry analysis needs.

Based in Bedford, MA, Medica will be showcasing and demonstrating the EasyRA analyzer's new capability at the annual scientific meeting of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) in San Diego, August 1-3, 2017 at booth #759. At AACC, Medica will also showcase its proven analyzers such as EasyLyte®, EasyBloodGas™ , and EasyStat®.
