Electrolyte measurements may be used to help investigate conditions that cause electrolyte imbalances such as dehydration, kidney disease, lung diseases, or heart conditions. Medica's electrolyte analyzer products - EasyElectrolytes™ and EasyLyte® are specifically designed to meet the needs of clinical laboratories, physicians' offices, and critical-care settings that require low cost, high precision and accuracy, and ease of use.
Incorporating the latest technology, Medica's electrolyte analyzers improve lab productivity, while delivering sample results economically. Both the analyzers feature yes/no prompted operation, simple maintenance, fast results, and a low cost per sample. Professional lab equipment suppliers offer refurbished models of these clinical analyzers with 90 day parts warranty. Reagents, controls, and consumables can also be purchased along with the system.
EasyElectrolytes Analyzer
The EasyElectrolytes analyzer measures Na+, K+, Cl-, and Li+ in whole blood, serum, urine (not applicable for Li+), and plasma. Unique electrode design, combined with precise control of calibrator volumes, ensure economical operation and a low cost per sample. The Reagent Module's solid-state memory enables EasyElectrolytes to track date code and reagent usage. Operation without interruption is assured. Results for a 55 µL serum sample are displayed and printed in 35 seconds.
EasyLyte Analyzer
The EasyLyte product line measures combinations of Na+, K+, Cl-, Li+, Ca++, and pH in whole blood, serum, plasma, or urine. This unit is available in four models such as -
- EasyLyte Na+/K+
- EasyLytePLUS Na+/K+/Cl-
- EasyLyteLithium Na+/K+/Li+
- EasyLyteCalcium Na+/K+/Ca++/pH
The system software computes quality control statistics, flags abnormal results, and monitors performance. Results are printed automatically in less than 60 seconds.
Modular analyzer and reagent designs make Medica electrolyte analyzers easy to operate, maintain, and integrate in the lab workflow. Routine maintenance is limited to the replacement of a single reagent pack and electrodes, and a single pump tube, all of which are easily accessible. The analyzers calculate and store complete statistics for monthly quality-control results. Samples can be analyzed from vacutainers, sample cups, capillaries, and syringes.
