Diazyme’s enzymatic creatinine reagent offers significantly advantages compared to the conventional Jaffe method for creatinine which is caustic (picric acid) and can stain analyzer tubing and cuvettes. Diazyme enzymatic method is non-caustic, non-staining and has no costly hazardous shipping requirements. Unlike the Jaffe method Diazyme’s enzymatic assay shows virtually no interference from ascorbic acid (10 mg/dL), bilirubin (40mg/dL), hemoglobin (500 mg/dL) and triglycerides (1000 mg/L). Packaged for optimal operator convenience, reagent transfer can be eliminated for most chemistry systems with instrument specific packaging options including Roche Hitachi 917 series, Olympus AU (400/600/640/680). Reagents are stable for 24 months from date of manufacture when stored at 2°-8°C.

Diazyme Creatinine Liquid Reagents Assay, in conjunction with Diazyme Creatinine Calibrator, is intended for the quantitative determination of creatinine in serum and urine. Creatinine measurements are used in the diagnosis and treatment of renal diseases, in monitoring renal dialysis, and as a calculation basis for measuring other urine analytes. For in vitro diagnostic use only.
