    Used for rapid triage of chest pain patients, including those with acute coronary syndromes (ACS). Measurements of cardiac troponin I support the diagnosis and treatment of myocardial infarction and risk stratification of ACS patients with respect to mortality risk. Bedside testing has been shown to reduce time to anti-ischemic therapy by approximately 45 minutes and ED length of stay by 1.9 hours.

    The standard cTnI cartridge reports in ng/mL and has a higher detection threshold. The high sensitivity hs-TnI cartridge reports in ng/L and can detect much lower concentrations. The hs-TnI is preferred for early rule-out protocols, while the standard cTnI remains widely used for diagnosing overt MI.

    The cTnI cartridge delivers results in approximately 10 minutes, meeting the ACC/AHA recommended 60-minute turnaround guideline 98% of the time.
