The Sorvall RC-3, from Sorvall, (a
division of DuPont), is a refrigerated
floor model centrifuge that is able to
meet general-purpose applications. It
is best to conduct large volume
density gradient separations or
pelleting of cellular sized particles.
Based upon the rotor used, the machine
shows a maximum speed of 6000 rpm. In
order to deliver exceptional
performance, it is enriched with
features such as adjustable brake,
with on/off switch and automatic
setting, indicator light to replace
motor brush, timer (0-2 hours, hold),
on / off switch, start/ stop switch,
automatic door lock, and variable
dynamic braking.
