| Description |
The Bayer 288 Blood Gas System is used for the determination of pH, pCO2 and pO2, Sodium (Na+), potassium (K+), total Hemoglobin (tHb) and Ionized Calcium (Ca++) or Chloride (Cl-). Calculated parameters for the Bayer 288 include standard or actual bicarbonate (HCO3), total carbon dioxide (tCO2), base excess in vivo or in vitro (BEvv or BEvt), oxygen saturation (O2 sat), oxygen content (O2 CT), AaDO2, a/A ratio, Hematocrit, and anion gap (only if chloride electrode is installed).
Features of the Bayer 288 Blood Gas System include maintenance free electrodes, always ready for sample introduction, and the ability to analyze other sample types (capillary, expired gas, and quality control materials) after one or two key presses. The Bayer 288 Blood Gas System has small sample requirements; syringe samples as small as 200µL, capillary samples as small as 140µL and expired gas samples of 10mL are accepted. Other features of the Bayer 288 Blood Gas System include easy to use software, automatic calibration sequence, sample associated data entry capabilities, recall of last result, quality control tracking, and customer repair capabilities to decrease downtime. The Bayer 288 Blood Gas Analyzer has multiple interface capabilities, with five interface ports capable of supporting different types of peripheral devices, enhanced diagnostic capabilities, and a built-in printer. |
