The Airfuge CLS is a compact, air-driven tabletop ultracentrifuge, routinely used by hundreds of clinical laboratories to enhance the accuracy of today's random access chemistry analyzers.
The Airfuge CLS provides a simple, rapid method of removing chylomicrons without loss of the serum constituents being analyzed. Utilizing the special Beckman Coulter Chylomicron Rotor and liner, lipemic samples can be cleared in 10 minutes, eliminating the need for send outs.
A number of rotors are available to further enhance the Airfuge CLS's exceptional versatility, including a batch rotor for pelleting. Four fixed angle rotors generate the high speeds and forces necessary to perform a variety of tasks, including binding studies, steroid hormone receptor assays, and separating lipoprotein fractions for HDL, LDL, and VLDL determinations.

Reaches speeds and forces of up to 110,000 rpm and 199,000 g
Smooth deceleration—the air system allows the rotors to decelerate smoothly and helps minimize remixing of sample contents
