Electrolytes play a key role in the functioning of the human body. Electrolyte measurements may be used to help investigate conditions that cause electrolyte imbalances. Low electrolyte levels may result in congestive heart failure, kidney disease and diabetes insipidus. Medica’s EasyLyte analyzers are completely automated, microprocessor controlled electrolyte systems that use current ISE (Ion Selective Electrode) technology to make electrolyte measurements.
Medica EasyLyte Na/K/Li Analyzer is a reliable choice for measuring various combinations of sodium, potassium & lithium in whole blood, serum, plasma, or urine. This analyzer model combines easy Yes/No prompted operation, simple maintenance, and reliability into one economical design.
State-of-the-art electronics and an innovative ergonomic design differentiate this analyzer significantly from competitors. It also stores quality-control data that is easily accessible. Patient histories are immediately retrievable for evaluation.
The unit incorporates self-contained Solutions Pack that includes liquid calibrants and collects all waste, eliminating sample contact.
The analyzer features:
- Removable and disposable capillary sampler
- Advanced software that ensures ease of operation
- User-friendly menu
- Automatic or on-demand calibration
- Automatic probe wiping
- Disposable electrodes that require no maintenance
By purchasing this electrolyte analyzer from an established lab equipment supplier, you can also benefit from efficient post-purchase support including installation, repair and maintenance.
Coupled with an EasySampler, EasyLyte prints the results for each sample loaded in the sample tray, indicating tray and position number as well as date and time of analysis. The EasySampler comes with 21 sample positions, dedicated Stat position, and normal/Abnormal QC positions and optional auto-repeat of out-of-range values. Incorporated with an optical interlock, this EasySampler detects any obstruction between the sample probe and the sample cup.
The internal printer prints patient results, calibration values, quality control data, and results automatically in less than 60 seconds. With a two button operation, the software computes quality control statistics, flags abnormal results, and monitors performance.
Certain vendors also offer reagent rental plans that are an alternative to equipment purchase. The plan provides an opportunity to place an analyzer in the laboratory in exchange for the guaranteed purchase of reagents over a period of time.
